MEDITERRANEAN FOREST

The Mediterranean climate is a subtype of temperate climate along with others such as the humid subtropical and the oceanic. It is characterized by temperate and rainy winters and dry summers and
warm or temperate, with autumns and variable springs, both in temperatures and precipitation.

The typical vegetation is sclerophyllous and xerophilous, as it has to withstand the summer aridity. A type of vegetation that has hard leaves and short internodes, the plants are adapted to the scarcity of water in the area where they live.
